Description
North Brabant consists of more than just forests and heathland. In the northwest of this province there are marine clay polders with extensive grasslands, arable lands and streams. You will also find beautiful old villages such as Drimmelen.
Low Zwaluwe
In the village you pass the Hoop Doet Leven, a flour mill from 1867. Opposite the mill is a beautiful church in the style of the Amsterdam School. Just outside Zevenbergschen Hoek is Huize Bloemendaal, a partly sixteenth-century former ferry house. The Kerkstraat in Lage Zwaluwe still exudes the atmosphere of times gone by.
Beautiful Oosterhout
You cycle along the course of the Amer to Drimmelen, a charming town with a nice harbor. Just before junction 4 you pass through the Holy Triangle. There are three abbeys in this protected villagescape. In Oosterhout itself you can enjoy the historic atmosphere around De Heuvel. Here you will see, among other things, the Freedom House from 1610.
