Around Emst it is wonderful to walk on the edge of the Veluwe. This route takes you across the Emster enk and past two old windmills.
Charge the battery
On the left is the forest, on the right you look out over the fields and meadows. You regularly pass an old characteristic farmhouse. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for charging the proverbial battery.
Old watermills
At the Klaarbeek you pass two eighteenth-century overshot water mills. First you pass the Kopermolen, further on is the Zuukermolen. Both mills have had different functions: they served as a laundry, paper and grain mill. The Zuukermolen has also been used as a coin cutter from copper plates that were crushed in the Kopermolen.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
