Etten-Leur in Brabant consists of two old ribbon villages: Etten and Leur. This walk takes you through the old ribbon village of Etten. Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the historic atmosphere at your leisure.
Ettense Markt
On the old Market in Etten you will see some beautiful national monuments, such as the Town Hall from 1776. De Zwaan House dates from 1628. The Sint-Paulushofje was founded in 1681. This is where the Jan uten Houte Regional Museum is located, a great place to learn more about regional history. At the end of the Market is the Catharina Church, a medieval hall church with a tower from 1771.
De Withof
Further on you can make a stop at Pannenkoekenhuis Het Regiment. Enjoy a pancake or other delicacy here at your leisure. Huize Adama was originally a noble country house with a moat around it. Since 1820 it has been part of De Withof, a former monastery that originally dates from the sixteenth century. The Bisschopsmolen is a beautiful flour mill from 1744.
