The sloping surroundings of the Limburg village of Spaubeek are ideal for a walking tour. Put on your hiking boots for a route full of scenic views, natural beauty and heritage.

South of Spaubeek you walk between grasslands and orchards. You have beautiful views here.

You will pass Huis Ten Dijcken, a country estate built around 1600 that is hidden between Canadian poplars and pollard willows. A little further on in Oude Kerk is an eighteenth-century farmhouse, at the end of the street you will see the St. Anne's Chapel from 1865. You cross the Geleenbeek, after which you make a climb in the Stammenderbos. Black alder and ash grow along the stream, and higher up you see beech and oak.
