Walking through Ootmarsum and surroundings

In the countryside, you'll walk along the edge of the deciduous forest Het Agelerbroek. A little later, you'll climb to the hamlet of Groot Agelo, where you'll see several characteristic Saxon farmhouses. On the edge of Ootmarsum, you'll pass the Molen van Oude Hengel (Old Hengel Mill), a corn mill dating back to 1872. The picturesque center of Ootmarsum is a protected village view. You'll see many beautiful historic buildings, such as the thirteenth-century HH Simon en Judaskerk (St. Simon and Judas Church). Time seems to have stood still here; on foot, you can fully enjoy the charming atmosphere. Just outside the village, you'll climb the Kersberg, a beautiful spot to admire the old meadow landscape.
