Walking through Ootmarsum and surroundings

The route starts at Hotel Café Restaurant De Landmarke, a nice place to have something to eat and drink before you set off. In the countryside you walk along the edge of the Het Agelerbroek deciduous forest. A little later you climb to the hamlet of Groot Agelo, where you will see some characteristic Saxon farms. On the edge of Ootmarsum you pass Molen van Oude Hengel, a flour mill from 1872. The picturesque center of Ootmarsum has a protected village view. You will see many beautiful monumental buildings, such as the thirteenth-century HH Simon and Judas Church. Time seems to have stood still here, and you can fully enjoy the cozy atmosphere on foot. Just outside the village you make a small climb over the Kersberg. A beautiful place to enjoy the old ash landscape.
