A nice walk at the Maarnsche Berg

With this walk you can sniff some forest scent around the Maarnsche Berg on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Ideal for a relaxing day out.

Mollebos
When you walk into the woods on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, it's like entering another world. It is nice and quiet here, so you can relax with friends and family. The first meters you walk along the Hydepark, an eighteenth-century estate that is now owned by the Protestant Church of the Netherlands. From the Hydeparklaan you enter the gently sloping Mollebos where deciduous and coniferous trees alternate.

You also walk along one of the highest peaks on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug: the more than 46 meters high Zonheuvel. You walk through Stameren, an estate where a striking number of rhododendrons grow. Landgoed Hoog Moersbergen consists of a natural young forest of oaks and birches. It is wonderfully cool here on hot days under the canopy.
