Along the banks of the IJssel

Restaurant Zalen De Mol is located on the edge of Wijthmen. This bike tour starts from this historic farm. After a delicious cup of coffee you are ready to go. You will soon be cycling along the Wijthmenerplas. This recreational area is popular with swimmers, walkers and cyclists. The water is home to European crayfish, pike, carp, perch and eel. A little later you cross the IJssel with the ferry to Hattem. You leave the beautiful town for what it is and cycle through typical Dutch river landscape in a southerly direction. It can be wonderfully windy here on the dikes. At Veessen you cross the IJssel again and cycle back north via towns such as Wijhe and Laag Zuthem. End your day on the terrace of your starting point. Time to relax!
