Description
Hop on the saddle and go for a breath of fresh air on Zuid-Beveland. You cycle along the banks of the Oosterschelde and Westerschelde and through beautiful villages such as Wemeldinge.
Orchards The route starts at the Goese Meer, which was constructed at the end of the twentieth century. From a distance, you can see the striking church tower of Kattendijke looming. There are many orchards around the village, as well as in many other places along your route. That's fun cycling! You cycle a few kilometres along the Kanaal door Zuid-Beveland, which opened in 1866 and is a connecting road between the Oosterschelde and Westerschelde. It's nice to cycle fast here!
Picturesque Wemeldinge In Kruiningen you will pass the beautiful fifteenth-century Johanneskerk. You will also pass the Oude Molen from 1801. In the beautiful Yerseke you will drive along the harbour with a view of the Oosterschelde. In the picturesque Dorpsstraat of Wemeldinge you will see centuries-old farms and cross houses.
