Description
Jump on the saddle and get a breath of fresh air in South Beveland. You cycle along the banks of the Eastern and Western Scheldt and through beautiful villages such as Wemeldinge.
Fruit orchards
The route starts at the Goese Meer, which was constructed at the end of the twentieth century. From afar you can already see the striking church tower of Kattendijke looming. There are many fruit orchards around the village, just like many other places on your route. That's fun cycling! You drive a few kilometers along the Canal through Zuid-Beveland, which opened in 1866, a connecting road between the Eastern and Western Scheldt. It's nice to walk through here!
Picturesque Wemeldinge
In Kruiningen you will pass the beautiful fifteenth-century Johanneskerk. You also pass the Oude Molen from 1801. In beautiful Yerseke you drive along the harbor with a view of the Oosterschelde. In the picturesque Dorpsstraat of Wemeldinge you can see centuries-old farms and transverse houses.
