Provided by: Groots Genieten
In the sparsely populated Betuwe around Elst you can take a wonderful bike ride through the grasslands and past the fruit orchards. This route also takes you through Arnhem, including crossing the famous Rijnburg.
Rhine bridge
The route starts in Elst. You drive through the polder towards Arnhem-Zuid. You cycle through the Zeegbos, which was created in 2000. If you drive out between the deciduous trees, you will arrive at the Immerloop Park with its many tree species. You enter Arnhem via the Rhine Bridge, known as 'a bridge too far'.
Museum Arnhem
You pass Museum Arnhem, which is located in a former society building from 1856. Further on you cross the Rhine again with a ferry. From the dike you look out over the rippling water and the flowery floodplains. On the left are the many fruit orchards that make the Betuwe such a beautiful cycling area. It's so nice and quiet to cycle here!
