It is wonderful to walk in the polder at Goeree-Overflakkee. Grab your walking shoes from the closet and set out through an area where you will experience unprecedented tranquility.
High Sleeve
You walk several kilometers on the dike along the water. Getting a breath of fresh air with a beautiful view, nothing can beat that! A great moment to recharge the proverbial battery.
Picturesque Ooltgensplaat
In Ooltgensplaat you will find a historic atmosphere. On the Kaai van Ooltgensplaat you can see, for example, the Weeghuisje, a monumental commercial building from 1935. The beautiful old town hall from 1618 is also located on the Kaai. There is a beautiful seventeenth-century monument on the corner with Voorstraat. The village church from 1847 is located on the characteristic ring road of Ooltgensplaat. The last part of the route you walk through the extensive polder again. What a silence!
