Description
The polder on Goeree-Overflakkee is a great place to walk. Get your walking shoes out of the closet and set off through an area where you can still experience an unprecedented peace.
High Sleeve
You walk a few kilometers along the dike along the water. Just a wonderful breath of fresh air with a beautiful view, nothing can beat that! A nice moment to recharge the proverbial battery.
Picturesque Ooltgensplaat
In Ooltgensplaat you will find a historical atmosphere. For example, on the Quay of Ooltgensplaat you will see the Weeghuisje, a monumental commercial building from 1935. The beautiful old town hall from 1618 is also on the Quay. On the corner with the Voorstraat is a beautiful seventeenth-century monument. On the characteristic ring of Ooltgensplaat is the village church from 1847. The last part of the route you walk through the vast polder again. What silence!
