Liberation route

Liberation Route Europe is an ever expanding international one
memorial route that connects milestones from modern European history. The route forms a link between the most important regions during the Allied advance. Alphen was liberated by the Poles on October 5, 1944, and Chaam on October 28 through good cooperation between the English and Canadian troops. Although it remained relatively quiet in the south during the war, the liberation clearly left its mark.
