Description
The starting point for a beautiful cycling or walking tour through the Barony is Natuurpoort Landgoed Wolfslaar. Follow the winding river through the paradise Markdal while cycling. The Markdal owes its name to the De Mark stream, which flows through the meadows south of Breda. Thanks to the efforts of Natuurmonumenten, part of De Mark has regained its original winding course. Willows and alders grow on either side of the stream. The Strijbeekse Heide, an area of heath, fens and open forest, exudes a serene tranquility.
There is also plenty to discover at Wolfslaar Estate itself. Take a tour through the garden of the stately Mansion, take a look at the Warmoezerij and enjoy a lunch with regional products at the Garden House of Charlotte.
