Cycling through the Gelderse Vallei and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug

First you cycle through the Gelderse Vallei with its vast grassy meadows. You drive past some fortifications from the former Grebbe Line, such as Fort aan de Buursteeg, which was built in 1786. Further on you can take a look at some of the earthen reinforcement walls of the Line of the Juffrouwwijk. After a while you cycle through Maarn and enter the vast forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. At Pannenkoekenhuis Bergzicht it is time for a pit stop. Enjoy something tasty here at your leisure before cycling to Den Treek Estate. Along the Valleikanaal you will see some bunkers of the Grebbe Line again, after which you drive via Scherpenzeel to Renswoude. Afterwards you get off at Pannenkoekenhuis De Bijenmarkt. Time for a cozy terrace and a delicious meal.
