First you cycle through the Gelderse Vallei with its wide grassy meadows. You cycle past several fortifications from the former Grebbelinie, such as Fort aan de Buursteeg that was built in 1786. Further on you can take a look at several earthen fortification walls of the Linie van de Juffrouwwijk. After a while you cycle through Maarn and enter the vast forests of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Along the Valleikanaal you see several bunkers of the Grebbelinie again, after which you cycle via Scherpenzeel to Renswoude. Afterwards you get off at Pannenkoekenhuis De Bijenmarkt. Time for a cozy terrace and a delicious meal.
