Description
Along the Lek it is wonderful to cycle along the dike. You will enjoy beautiful views and the historical atmosphere that you will find in the old towns along the river. The route starts in the historical city centre of Vianen. You will cycle along the Hofpoort, among other places. You will cross the Lek by ferry, after which you will cycle along the dike through the flowery grasslands along the banks of the Lek. Get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the views over the water and the orchards! You will also pass Fort Everdingen, a fortress from 1847. Walk through the Voorstraat to soak up the historical atmosphere.
