Description
It is wonderful to cycle along the dike along the Lek. You enjoy beautiful views and the historic atmosphere that you find in the old towns along the river. The route starts in the historic city center of Vianen. You will drive past the Hofpoort, among other things. You cross the Lek with a ferry, after which you drive over the dike through the flower-rich grasslands along the bank of the Lek. Get a breath of fresh air and enjoy the views over the water and the fruit orchards! You will also pass Fort Everdingen, a fortress from 1847. Walk through Voorstraat to soak up the historic atmosphere.
