Walking in the Biesbosch? Correct! Because you can also experience the beautiful mix of water, reedlands and creeks from the dike around the Kleine Noordwaard. And you experience the deafening silence.
Waxing Moon
The route starts at the Biesbosch Museum, a nice place where you can learn everything about the history and development of the Biesbosch. This national park is one of the few freshwater areas in the world where there is an ebb and flow. You can see this beautifully in De Wassende Maan: this work of art looks different every time due to the influence of the weather, the tide and the seasons. Climb the landscaped hill on the Bandijk to discover the work of art.
Sea eagle
From the dike you have beautiful views over the many waters and meadows. What a beautiful walk here! If you are lucky, you will see the osprey or sea eagle that occasionally hunt here. So bring your binoculars! And waterproof walking shoes, because it can be damp here!
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
