Walking in the Biesbosch? Exactly! Because also from the dike around the Kleine Noordwaard you experience the beautiful mix of water, reed lands and creeks. And you experience the deafening silence.
Waxing Moon
The route starts at the Biesbosch Museum, a nice place where you can learn everything about the history and development of the Biesbosch. This national park is one of the few freshwater areas in the world where there is ebb and flow. You can see this beautifully reflected in De Wassende Maan: this work of art looks different every time due to the influence of the weather, the tide and the seasons. Climb the man-made hill at the Bandijk to discover the work of art.
Sea Eagle
From the dike you have beautiful views over the many waters and meadows. What a beautiful walk it is here! If you are lucky, you will see the osprey or sea eagle that hunt here every now and then. So bring your binoculars! And waterproof walking shoes, because it can be damp here!
