Voornes Duin The first few kilometers take you along the shores of Lake Voorne: a nice way to warm up. A little later, you cycle into Voornes Duin, one of the most biodiverse dune areas in Western Europe. Here you will find dunes, flower-rich dune grasslands,濕 valleys, and dune forests. You experience a surprising amount of peace here, despite Voorne being located in the proverbial shadow of Rotterdam.

Den Briel You pass the Rockanje, a beautifully restored grain mill originally dating from 1718. You also pass the Museum in den Halven Maen, where you take a delightful leap back in time. Just like in Brielle, the largely seventeenth-century fortress is one of the best-preserved defensive works in the Netherlands. Just before the end of the route, you pass the Molen Oostvoorne, a grain mill from 1821. What a beautiful day for cycling!
