Wenum-Wiesel is a picturesque twin village just above Apeldoorn. You will soon come across a beautiful spot to stop for a moment: the Wenumse Molen, a beautiful fourteenth-century water mill on the Wenumse Beek. It served as a corn mill, but also as a copper mill. It is a monument, just like the associated miller's house from 1882 is a monument. You walk towards Wiesel via a leafy footpath. You walk a bit along the edge of the park of the nearby Paleis het Loo with its extensive forests. Beautiful in every season! The charming Wiesel, a little further on, enjoys a protected village view. In the past, the employees of Paleis het Loo lived here. Every year during the first weekend of September, the Orange Festival is celebrated in Wiesel to commemorate Queen Wilhelmina's birthday.
