Monastery Route
During this 150 kilometer long cycling route you will get to know three historic monasteries. The route consists of three sections, which in turn connect a number of different cycling routes. The first route (50 km) starts in the town of Maulbron at the monastery of the same name: you immediately start the route with a point of interest. Along the way you follow parts of the Welterbe-Radweg, the Enztalradweg and the Nagoldtalragweg, up to the town of Hirsau.
The second route (60 km) also starts with a visit to a monastery: from the Hirsau monastery, the route takes you to Kälberbronn. Here you cycle partly along the Nagold and you discover a beautiful part of the"Fachwerkstraße\\\". The terminus, Kälberbronn, is the starting point of the third stretch. With its 36 kilometers, this stretch is a bit shorter, but there are quite a few climbs to be overcome. The highest point is the Friedrichshöhe, from here it goes downhill to Alpirsbach, the terminus. Here you end the bike tour with a visit to the Alpirsbach monastery.
