On to Elspeet

Along the water, you'll head to Nunspeet and then on to Elspeet. Just outside Elspeet, you'll find the sheepfold where the flock of sheep grazes on the Elspeet and Vierhoutsende Heaths. In Elspeet, you can also admire characteristic old farms and the monumental 16th-century village church. Then you cycle across the Elspeet Heath and through lush forests to 't Harde.
Wild animals in the forest
Around Elspeet and Vierhouten, you'll find several interconnected forests and heathlands. This was once a popular hunting ground, particularly for members of the Royal Family. This isn't surprising, as it's home to a wide variety of animals. From deer to wild boar, foxes, and mouflons, you'll find it all here.
