Walking through the polders near Boskoop

In the countryside of Boskoop you can once again walk through the old Dutch peat meadow area. Put on your walking shoes for a beautiful walk through a surprisingly quiet landscape.

Little Giethoorn
The route starts at Grand Café Roos Eten & Drinken, a cozy spot where you experience a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. A little later you walk into the low polders of the Groene Hart. Long narrow plots, straight ditches and canals, the many drawbridges and wooden sheds: this is the characteristic Dutch landscape. Because of the many kilometers of waterways, Boskoop is also called Klein Giethoorn.

Golden
You walk a few kilometres along the banks of the Gouwe, a canalised river. It is lovely to walk here. Ideal for a chat with friends and family. Many tree nurseries are located in this area, which gives this area extra appeal. You walk past the Rietveldse Molen, a polder mill from 1648. You will also see a few old farms. Back at Grand Café Roos it is time for a refreshment!
