Tour of the Brabantse Wal

You'll start at the Natuurpodium Visitor Center, just outside Bergen op Zoom. This visitor center is located on the centuries-old Lievensberg Estate. Here you'll find a landscape of forest, heathland, and meadows. From junction 31, you'll enter the Mattemburgh Estate, planted around 1850. Two garden styles are represented in the park: the playful English Landscape Style and the austere French Style. In Hoogerheide, it's time for a refreshing stop at Het Raedthuys. Enjoy a delicious meal before exploring the Brabantse Wal around Ossendrecht. Here, you'll clearly see how the high, wooded sandy soils give way to lower-lying sea clay polders. You'll cycle through the woods to Huijbergen, where you'll pass the Johanna corn mill from 1862. Finally, you'll cycle through Zoomland, a forest with marshland and ancient oak and beech avenues.
