Description
Nature gate de Brandtoren is the starting point for this beautiful walk through the Peelse Heide. Until the beginning of 1900, the Peelse Heide was characterized by extensive heathland. As a result of the great demand for prop wood for the mines, the development of the area was started in 1920. After this, the forest was planted. The natural landscape around the Peelse Heide is very varied. Due to the combination of forest and heathland, many animal species feel at home here. The Peelse Heide is part of the Brabant Kempen.
