Description
Nature gate de Brandtoren is the starting point for this beautiful walk through the Peelse Heide. Until the early 1900s, the Peelse Heide was characterized by extensive heathland. As a result of the high demand for prop timber for the mines, mining of the area started in 1920. Then the forest was planted. The natural landscape around the Peelse Heide is very varied. Because of the combination of forest and heath, many animal species feel at home here. The Peelse Heide is part of the Brabantse Kempen.
