In this somewhat more difficult stage, the historic and flowery Egge municipalities of Altenbeken and Lichtenau are central. The ridges of the Egge Mountains typify the start of your cycling tour; from here the route slowly gets steeper.
Before you reach the Egge Mountains, you cycle through a beautiful meadow landscape and the pleasant valley of the river Beke. Then you reach the'railway municipality\\\' of the region: Altenbeken. This city is best known for the viaduct of the same name, the oldest limestone bridge in Europe.
