Cycling around Marken and Volendam

A nice route along (and over!) the water along many beautiful places. Marken, Volendam, Monnickendam - you keep getting off here. A beautiful route along typical Dutch spots! You start at Europarcs Resort Poort van Amsterdam in Uitdam. You can hear the rippling water of the Markermeer while you enjoy yourself in one of the attractive houses. You cycle over the dike that connects the island to the mainland to Marken, a typical fishing village with characteristic wooden houses on stilts. Then you take the ferry to Volendam, you must have been here once. The fishing village is of course known for its authentic costumes, so be sure to take a look around. Via the Fort near Kwadijk you cycle to Monnickendam and then you end up in Uitdam again.
