Tour Julianadorp by bike

You can cycle beautifully around Julianadorp, along the sea and polder. First you set course north and follow the coast all the way to the edge of Den Helder. Along the way you will pass the 17-meter-high steel lighthouse the Groote Kaap, which is still used to signal water traffic. Near Den Helder you will find small nature reserves close to the sea, such as the Mariëndal. Low dunes and dune grasslands now grow on the former bulb soil. Behind the dunes you will find extensive polders and picturesque villages. This is how you cycle through Noorderhaven: once a harbor at the northern tip of the former island of Callantsoog, now you will find forests and a care center there.
