Description
Around Uitgeest you can take a wonderful bike ride through the vast polders. A route full of tranquility and views over the water. You will also pass some historical sights.
Bulb sanding
The route starts at Bistro Nadar, a cozy living room restaurant in the center of Uitgeest. Enjoy a coffee and cake or a delicious lunch here before departure. It is nice to walk in the polder. You can enjoy the peace and the high Dutch skies here. Ideal for a chat with friends and family. On the Startingerweg you can see some old characteristic bulb sheds. Further on is a striking, but monumental transformer building from 1919.
Dorregeest mill
In Klein Dorregeest you can also see some beautiful buildings, such as a nineteenth-century farmhouse. The Dorregeestmolen is a thatched polder mill from 1896. At node 94 you are in a quiet spot on the Uitgeestermeer. A nice moment to look out over the water in peace. And let the silence work on you. At Bistro Nadar you can stretch your legs on the sheltered terrace after your tour. Time for something delicious!
