Estate walk near Maarn

After a cup of coffee at tea house MON Chouette, put on your walking shoes for a beautiful varied walk. You soon walk past Geerestein, a country estate whose history dates back to the fifteenth century. You pass some old characteristic farms. On the horizon you can see the Utrechtse Heuvelrug rising, a beautiful view. After a stop at your starting point for lunch, you will pass Den Treek, an estate whose history dates back to the fourteenth century. Here you see a beautiful nineteenth-century farm and gamekeeper's house. A little later you walk into the woods. The sloping path winds wonderfully between deciduous and coniferous trees. The deeper you go into the forest, the quieter it is. Ideal for clearing your head. You walk back through the rural countryside.
