From De Meern to Haarzuilens and Harmelen

De Haar Castle, the picturesque village of Haarzuilens, the country estates along the meandering Vecht… this route takes you past the most beautiful historical spots! You cycle to De Haar Castle, which is certainly worth a visit. The original fortress was built as early as the 12th century. In the second part of the route, you cycle along the winding Vecht through the village of Harmelen. Enjoy the idyllic surroundings with park woodlands, country estates, old village streets, and vast grasslands. Along the way, you will also pass various windmills; it doesn't get more Dutch than this!
