This route takes you through various towns in the open landscape of the Achterhoek. Get to know Lochem, Borculo and Ruurlo, among others, and enjoy the beautiful views of the landscape along the way. You can also admire some sights while cycling.
The Erve Brooks Museum Farm
The first part of this route takes you through a farming landscape, which is so typical of this region, to Lochem. You drive between fields and meadows that seem to stretch endlessly and you pass the Erve Brooks Museum Farm. This farm dates from 1538 and you can view old agricultural implements, tools, but also old-fashioned costumes. You will also find a playground and farm animals for the children to enjoy. Then you cycle along the course of the Berkel to Lochem. Just outside Lochem you cycle over the Lochemse mountain to Ruurlo.

In Ruurlo you can visit the Agneta Mill. This mill was built here in 1851 and was originally a peeling, oil and corn mill. Nowadays the mill is used as a saw and grist mill. The mill was given this destination in 1914. Over the years, the mill has been restored several times to prevent decay and is therefore still usable.
