Description
Your route starts at Restaurant Eethuis De Stoeterij. On the edge of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug National Park you will find several beautiful villages that are worth exploring. This region is known for the lush forests and the beautiful historic castles that you will find here. This route takes you past some highlights of this beautiful area. This way you will get to know the historic center of the village and the beautiful Slot Zeist. This castle was built in the seventeenth century on behalf of Willem Adriaan van Nassau. You will find an English landscape park around the castle. Then you cycle through Soesterberg to the Soesterberg Air Base Park. You used to find a military airport here, but the air base has now been transformed into a nature reserve.
