Mill route Lisse and Alphen aan den Rijn

Your route starts at De Veense Bukker. Take a beautiful trip to Lisse and Alphen aan den Rijn by bike and enjoy the open polder landscape you will pass through! Along the way you can admire several beautiful polder windmills and you regularly cycle along the water. The flower village of Lisse is known for its colorful flower bulbs. In the spring you can enjoy the bulb fields around Lisse, which blossom beautifully. You also cycle past Kaag, Rijpwetering, Woubrugge, and Alphen aan den Rijn. You can see beautiful mills such as the Lisserpoel mill from 1676, the De Vrouw Venner mill from 1835 and the Veender mill from 1934. A little outside the village of Oude Wetering you will find the Googer mill from 1717. This is the largest round stone ground sailer in the Netherlands!
