The Veluwe, a paradise for cyclists

On the Veluwe you can cycle for miles on cycle paths criss-crossing through the forests. Enjoy all the natural beauty, that's possible here! The route starts at Bungalowpark Het Verscholen Dorp. In the open polder landscape of the Gelderse Vallei you can enjoy the views and the peace. In Putten you cycle past the fifteenth-century village church. A little later you cycle into the Sprielderbos, one of the oldest forests in the Netherlands. In the middle of the forest you come across Drie, a centuries-old picturesque hamlet. The Speulderbos is a varied primeval forest where nature is allowed to take its course. It is known as the 'forest of the dancing trees'. Only the straight trunks were traditionally cut down. Speuld is a small agricultural enclave with characteristic old farms, fields and meadows.
