Historic Zierikzee
From the ring village of Burgh on Schouwen-Duiveland you cycle to the Oosterschelde, where you can enjoy a breath of fresh air. You will pass the Schelphoek nature reserve and a lookout tower, the Plompetoren. A little further on you cycle the Zierikzee within the Havenkanaal. The fifteenth-century Zuidhavenpoort at the Oude Haven is a picture, it used to protect the southern harbour entrance. In the open-air museum Museumhaven Zeeland you can see a few beautiful old ships. What a beautiful varied route!

Green Shake Fair
A little further on you cycle through the small village of Schuddebeurs, beautifully hidden in the greenery. In the Golden Age, grand houses with accompanying parks were built here, in recent decades forests were planted. A little later you can enjoy the villages of Burgh and Haamstede that have grown together. Haamstede Castle, a national monument from the thirteenth century, is also worth a visit.
