Description

De Biesbosch, Drimmelen and Werkendam: you will discover plenty of natural beauty and sights. Get on your bike and experience the charm of this route for yourself.

Bakkerskil You drive through the polders to Geertruidenberg, after which you cross the Bergse Maas. You will pass the War Memorial Hank and the War Memorial Nieuwendijk. Further on you drive along the Bakkerskil, an old creek that once had a mighty current. This is where the Werk aan de Bakkerskil fort is located.

Steurgat The Vervoorne Mill is a polder mill from 1700. Cycling along the Steurgat you look out over grassy meadows, rows of trees and many ditches and waterways. After a while you drive along the edge of the Brabantse Biesbosch, an idyllic landscape that mainly consists of reedlands and creeks. How peaceful it is here! Monument Halifax LV905 consists of a propeller from a bomber that crashed in 1944. You drive back to Drimmelen via Raamsdonksveer.
