The wooded area of Hoogerheide

From Hoogerheide you first drive to Eiland. This hamlet takes its name from an island in a fen where a gallows once stood. Just past Huijbergen you cross the border to Belgium. Here you cycle through the Wildertse Duintjes, a relief-rich and varied forest with open spaces and heathland remnants. In the village of Wildert you can visit the museum complex Bakkersmolen and Stoom- en Bakkerijmuseum. From the border village of Putte you drive back into the Netherlands, after which you cycle a stretch through the border park De Zoom-Kalmthoutse Heide. Get off here to experience the silence and fresh air. At the hamlet of Calfven you cycle over the edge of the Brabantse Wal. From here you have a beautiful view over the polder. At Het Raedthuys you can enjoy a delicious meal.
