Two-day Kempen walking tour: part 2

Hilvarenbeek is a beautiful old village that you can easily explore on foot. In the countryside you can walk through Annanina's Rust Estate, the Diessens Broek and along the Leemputten. With route 558910 you can walk part 1 of this route through the Kempen!

Diessens Trousers
From the heart of Hilvarenbeek you quickly enter the first nature reserve of your route: Annanina\\\'s Rust. This beautiful estate was founded in 1899 by a local notary. He named the estate after his Russian mistress who lived in a house on the estate. Further on you walk along the Diessens Broek, a damp valley along the Reusel stream. This nature reserve is the meadow bird area of Central Brabant.

Clay pits
In Diessen you will see some beautiful old farms, and you will also pass the beautiful fifteenth-century St. Willibrordus Church. You walk along the Leemputten. Clay was once dug here to make bricks. Now you walk through a small-scale landscape of moist forest, shrubs and wet grasslands. In Hilvarenbeek you can admire the historic Vrijthof.
