Description

This bike tour takes you through the history of the New Dutch Waterline around Utrecht. But don't stay for too long, because the tour also takes you right through the city itself. You will pass Fort Voordorp, Fort Ruigenhoek and Fort de Gagel fairly soon after departure. The last in the row is Fort aan de Klop. This fort was built in 1629 as a fortification to withstand attacks from the Spanish. Since 1995, the New Dutch Waterline has been part of the World Heritage List. You will enter Utrecht again via the west side. Pay a visit to the Rietveld Schroderhuis here, before you arrive back at the starting point.
