Tour of Groesbeek along Museum Park Orientalis

It slopes beautifully around Groesbeek, where you can cycle through the woods. Along the way you will discover the beautiful Museum Park Orientalis, a must to take a break.

Museum Park Orientalis You start just above Groesbeek. You cycle through the wooded and hilly surroundings to the Heilig Landstichting, where you will find Museum Park Orientalis, the former Biblical Open Air Museum. It is certainly worth taking a break, because you will discover the colorful world of Judaism, Christianity and Islam in a 30-hectare national monument. Then you take a detour towards the village of Groesbeek, straight through the forest.

Organic Wijnhoeve Colonjes You will also pass the Wijnhoeve Colonjes, which is an organic vineyard and one of the leading producers of Dutch wines. The vineyards are located on the beautiful southern slopes of the wine village of Groesbeek. Ten different new grape varieties have been planted on 13 hectares of loose soil, spread over the Colonjes, the Knapheideweg and't Hof, from which white wine, rose, sparkling wines and red wine are made in-house.

Groesbeekse Bos You cycle here through the Groesbeekse Bos, which is located on a moraine southeast of Nijmegen. It is an old forest, in which you will find old beech avenues, oaks, birches and conifers. It is quite undulating here, it is as if you are in Germany - not surprising that a little later you cycle close to the border.
