Two birds with one stone: historic Den Bosch with its cozy cafes on the Parade and De Loonse en Drunense Duinen National Park. These two Brabant celebrities can be combined into a beautiful tour by bike!
St. John's Cathedral
Your route immediately starts at a celebrity in Den Bosch: the centuries-old St. John's Cathedral. It impresses not only because of its size, but also because of the enormous wealth of sculptures. The 96 flying buttress statues are unique in the world. Take some time to admire the cathedral from the inside too! You drive through the city through old, sometimes car-free streets. Further on you follow the Drainage Canal from 's-Hertogenbosch to Drongelen, to the beautiful Loonse and Drunense Duinen.
The dunes
From the beautiful hamlet of Giersbergen with its many old farms you enter the park. A secluded cycle path leads you through the woods and past a huge sand drift. The rural southern edge of the nature reserve leads you back in the direction of Den Bosch and Fort Isabella.
