Description

In the South Limburg Hills, you'll experience a day of cycling filled with natural beauty and cultural history. Along a spur of the Savelsbos forest, you'll cycle to Sint Geertruid. Thanks to its medieval street pattern and many well-preserved farms, this village is a protected townscape. You'll climb the Margraten Plateau, after which you'll enter Gulpen a few kilometers further on. Here you'll see, among other things, a centuries-old detached church tower. The accompanying St. Peter's Church was demolished in 1924 and rebuilt about 250 meters further on. Along the Gulpdal valley, you'll cycle to Pesaken, and in Terlinden, it's time for lunch at De Zeute Aardbei. Via Mheer, you'll cycle to Noorbeek, after which you'll make two short cuts through the Voerstreek region. You'll pass through the villages of 's-Gravenvoeren and Moelingen. The route ends on the outskirts of Eijsden.
