Cycling route South Limburg Hills

Enjoy a wonderful day of cycling in the South Limburg hills. You'll start in Gulpen, then cycle via Eys towards Bocholtz. You'll cross through Germany, discovering Orsbach and the charm of the picturesque border village of Lemiers. Just past Vijlen, in Rott, you'll pass several eighteenth-century half-timbered houses. In Mechelen, you'll also see characteristic, monumental farms. The St. John the Baptist Church dates from 1811. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at Eetcafe 't Pintje, after which the route takes you via Slenaken to the next border village: Ulvend. Via Noorbeek, you'll continue to Mheer. Behind the St. Lambertus Church stands Mheer Castle, whose history dates back to the Middle Ages. The building has been in the hands of a noble family continuously since 1668. In Gulpen, enjoy a pleasant terrace at Gasterij De Poort.
