South Limburg is a wonderful place for hiking. The route starts in Gulpen, passing the St. Peter's Church, built in 1924. Just outside the village, you'll cross the Gulperberg, a 157-meter-high hill. At the summit stands a striking Marian monument from 1935. Further on, you'll pass Hoeve De Bek on your left, dating from 1663; it once served as a post house. The route follows an unpaved path through the Geuldal Valley. Make sure you wear waterproof shoes and enjoy the stunning scenery. In Mechelen, you can relax on a terrace at Eetcafe 't Pintje before heading to the Schweiberger Bos. The highest point of your route is located here, at approximately 195 meters. You descend through the Wagelerbos forest to Gulpen, ending at Gasterij De Poort.
