Your route starts at Mossel Farm. You'll drive straight through nature to Arnhem. The hilly landscape has always held a strong appeal for wealthy families, who built their country houses and created the most beautiful gardens and parks there. Huis Zypendaal, for example, is a magnificent 18th-century country estate. In the museum on the main floor, you can see the authentic interior. On the way back, you'll pass the Airborne Monument Ginkelse Heide: in September 1944, around 2,000 Allied paratroopers landed here in an attempt to capture the bridges near Arnhem. The airborne landing was part of Operation Market Garden. Be sure to stop at Bloem Arnhem! A little later, you'll pass the 13th-century Doorwerth Castle. This castle rose from the ashes after being destroyed in World War II.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
