Thousands of tourists flock to Sneek every year to experience this festivity. But there's more: Kleine Sneekweek, Swinging Sneek, and the Sneker Simmer Kolkconcert. Whatever the event, it's always a blast in this charming water sports town!

Terherne is best known as the "Kameleon Village." For fans of the children's books by Hotze de Roos, it's a feast of memories. Joure has had an annual fair since 1482: the Jouster Merke, usually held at the end of September. If you're in the village in August, you might just find yourself in the middle of the Romantic Market. And if you happen to spot a parade of Solex bikes or a sky full of colorful balloons while cycling, you're probably witnessing a Frisian event, as Joure hosts both the Solex World Championships and the Frisian Balloon Festival.
