Description
Flevoland has forests that are decades old, which are wonderful to cycle through. Grab some panoramic views over the water and a nice town and you will have a wonderful day out!
Vossemeer
From your starting point, in the middle of the green of the Reve-Abbertbos, you cycle along and through the forest to the north. You also pass through the forests of the Roggebotzand. The forest areas in the east of Flevoland are among the oldest in the polder created in the 1950s, they are beautiful mature forests with much to discover. You end up at the Vossemeer, where you have a beautiful view of the water from the dike.
Ketelhaven
You follow the cycle path over the Vossemeerdijk, looking out over elongated green islands. These form the edge of the Keteldiep, a channel in which the IJssel flows into the IJsselmeer. Hence the name of the village you cycle through a little later: Ketelhaven. It has not one but two marinas.
