Sometimes it is difficult to choose: do you go for a bike ride through the vast peat polder or do you seek the shelter of the woods? This route ties the knot for you: you simply do both!
Loosdrechtse Plassen
The first part of the route you cycle through a wide peat and lake area. Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet and the beautiful typically Dutch landscape. You will pass the Persijn Estate where a monumental country house from 1781 adorns the area. Further on you pass through the old polder village of Westbroek, which enjoys a protected village view. A little later you cycle over the dike along the Loosdrechtse Plassen. What a beautiful view!
Goois Nature Reserve
Below Hilversum you exchange the wet lowlands for the Goois Nature Reserve. The landscape starts to undulate a bit here. You drive over the Hoorneboegse Heide, among other things. You also drive for a long time through the vast, silent forests. The kilometers seem to pass by themselves here.
