Walking from the Volendam harbour

You can take a wonderful walk from the Volendam harbor. You walk for miles along the dike along the Markermeer, through Edam and through the polder.

Fortress Edam
On the way to Edam you walk past the Zuidpoldermolen, a thatched polder mill from 1670. The old city center of Edam lies within a former fortress.
