A beautiful tour through the Oldambt

From the starting point, you cycle through a wide landscape and old villages to Blauwestad. From your bike, you can admire this modern and unique example of landscape design. Wide views over the water alternate with young forests. The route takes you past several sights, such as characteristic Groningen farms and churches. The church in Nieuwolda does not have a weathercock on its spire, but a mermaid as a reference to the land that was reclaimed from the sea. Take a break at Hoeve Witteborg in Midwolda, near the Oldambtmeer! After you have returned to your starting point, you can still stroll around Termunterzijl: this town enjoys a protected village view. Nice: from the dike you can see Germany, on the other side of the water. Wave to the neighbours!
