Swalmdal
Unlike in Germany, De Swalm in the Netherlands still has its natural meandering course. Walking through the stream valley with its moist grasslands and marsh forests, you seem to have ended up in a paradise from earlier times.
Elmpter Schwalmbruch
There used to be many peat bogs along the Swalm. Only one of these remains: it is located in the middle of Naturpark Elmpter Schwalmbruch. Here you will find strong-smelling gale bushes and damp heathland with woolly grass and legwort. That makes your walk very unique!
