The peace between Winterswijk and Zwillbrock

A beautiful route through National Landscape Winterswijk. You cycle through a mosaic of grasslands, woods, stream valleys and wooded banks. What immediately stands out here: the peace!

Corn maze Just over the border, in season, you will pass the corn labyrinth of the Beuting family. Worth a visit. The labyrinth has a different figure as a route through the corn every year. In the Winterswijk National Landscape, it is wonderful to make miles. The area seems to have been specially designed for cyclists! In this region, you will still see several former Scholte farms, such as on the Geldereschweg just before Meddo. At Gastrobar Blend 61, you can get off and enjoy a delicious snack and drink.

Boulder In Meddo, there is a boulder weighing 38,000 kilograms at the canteen of the local football club. The last part of the route takes you through Winterswijk. At the old town hall of Winterswijk lies a boulder weighing 43,000 kilograms: it is the largest boulder in the Netherlands. Incidentally, it was found in Meddo. On the edge of Winterswijk you pass De Bataaf, a restored corn mill that was built here in 1801.
